CASA Pinwheel Planting Event

Judge Sheila Calloway and the staff at Juvenile Court of Metropolitan Nashville & Davidson County recently joined with Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children CASA Nashville to complete their annual “Pinwheel Planting” on the grounds of the Juvenile Justice Center. We were joined by an amazing group of volunteers from Hospital Corporation of America (HCA Nashville) as we planted 389 pinwheels, which represented every child assisted by CASA in the previous year.
The pinwheels serve as a visual reminder of the dedicated work that CASA provides for each youth they encounter and that more volunteers are needed and welcomed. CASA Volunteer Advocates want to make certain the voices of abused and neglected children are heard in an over-burdened child welfare system.
We proudly support and SALUTE the momentous work done by CASA Nashville!!!
