PENCIL held its annual Back to School Breakfast Fundraiser at the Belmont Curb Event Center on Thursday, August 24, 2023. This event raises support for their unique programs that promote student success by linking community resources to Nashville public schools. More than 500 business and community members were in attendance to hear from partners, teachers, and students, as they share insight into their own experiences with PENCIL’s programs.
Judge Sheila Calloway and members of her staff were present as we celebrated the successes of PENCIL for the past year. Your Juvenile Court are proud PENCIL partners with Taylor Stratton Elementary and Cane Ridge High School. We also serve as a PENCIL Partner at Large, which means we assist whenever and wherever needed at any MNPS facility. Our Court Administrator, Jennifer Wade, currently serves on the PENCIL Board of Directors and pledges our continued support of their worthwhile initiatives.
