Judge Sheila Calloway and staff had an informative and educational experience at the 40th annual Tennessee Juvenile Court Services Association (TJCSA) conference, held in Knoxville, TN. “The objectives of the TJCSA activities are to promote professionalism within our field, to encourage continuous training for juvenile court workers, to create avenues for regular exchange of ideas and techniques used by our profession, and to develop meaningful and effective relationships with judges, other juvenile court personnel, and service providers.”
In attendance for this this three-day training and networking event was Judge Sheila Calloway, Juvenile Court Magistrates, court leadership, and members of the court staff.
This year’s conference featured an exceptional lineup of keynote speakers. The sessions were interactive and thought-provoking, with a focus on best practices and innovation in the juvenile justice system. Discussion topics touched on a broad range of subjects, including education and advocacy for youth, restorative justice, and trauma-informed care.
