Overview – Coming to Court

If you are coming to Juvenile Court to conduct business, whether you are a child, parent, attorney, volunteer, etc., there are certain things you need to know to be prepared. Regular business hours are 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. If you need to pick up your child from detention after hours, come through the front entrance and look for a call box on the right wall.

Cell phones must be turned off or on vibrate while in the courtrooms and preferably while in the building. Be respectful of noise levels as the open lobby layout can result in a loud atmosphere that can be disruptive to courtroom proceedings. Unless authorized, all persons must go through entrance screening each and every time they enter a building – click here for details. There is an information desk to your right after the security check. Also, there are dockets (lists of cases to be heard) posted to your left as you enter the building with time and place information.
